A Complete Cladding Transformation
When the cladding on this Great Linford home reached the end of its life, the homeowner wanted more than a quick fix. He wanted a long-term solution that would improve insulation, modernise the exterior and stand up to the British weather for years to come.
After talking through the options, he chose James Hardie HardiePlank® VL cladding in a striking Midnight Black finish, fitted to all four sides of the property including the garage.
The Problem
The original wood cladding had rotted in places and was leaving the property looking tired compared to the rest of the estate. With age came reduced thermal performance too, meaning the home was losing heat as well as kerb appeal.
Our Approach
We carried out a full insulated cladding replacement across the entire property, working through four key stages:

Strip-out: Removed all existing rotten wood cladding.
- 2Insulation: Fitted a new insulation layer to boost thermal performance.

Install: Fixed VL HardiePlank® cladding across all four elevations, including the garage.
- 4Finish: Completed trims, fixings and weather detailing throughout for a clean, durable result.
The whole project was completed in just three weeks, with minimal disruption to the homeowner.

The Midnight Black finish gave the home a sleek, contemporary look that now stands out on the estate, while the new insulated build-up improves thermal efficiency throughout the property.
